This piece was one that I created for an annual showcase of typographic artists called Typeforce.
The piece was inspired by the fact that Chicago has always felt like a bit of a door mat for the problems of the country. From gun violence, to discriminatory housing practices, to whatever other issues happening throughout the U.S., Chicago is used to getting stepped on. Yes, this city has its problems, and it often gets a little dirty, but there’s still something beautiful about it, if you take a moment to look.
